my insurance on my current car runs( with insuer A) out next week and my insurance on my new car( with insuer b) should when paid for start the same day, but due to my current car breaking down 2day and me needing a car for work.

So you have Car 1 with Insurer A, and Car 2 with Insurer B? And you want to bring the start date of insurance on Car 2 forward.
There shouldnt be a problem with that. Many people have 2 vehicles, and you need to insure both.
What you cant do is have two seperate policies on the same vehicle. Double Indemnity I believe its called
