Ok I have now got a viable alternative to the Noble Blower
.....Turns out that a Ford Escort complete blower will fit with VERY little modification, the blower casing has two mounting Lugs that need cutting off (easy job) and then four holes drilled using you old blower as a template. It then matches the air-ways perfectly.
The load resistor pack also looks better / more robust and its not in a place where it's likely to melt your fan blades (as happend to my unit).
Once you have got your heater box open its a straight swap.
Also for future probs I have fitted pop nuts in to the heater blower mounts so you dont need to get to both sides of the heater to remove the blower mounting screws, then its just a case of fabricating a new top for the heater box (or sealing up the old parts) and sealing up.
Cost of the job £10:00
for a blower off E-Bay and a couple of hours to get the heater box out. (Mk IV V VI VII) Escort all look the same.
