I have recently bought a tiger super six but i generally do not know alot about them. on my way to work this morning the speedo has decided to stop working, however every now and then it does work for a few minutes, but for the last 30 minutes of my drive it stopped completly.

if anyone has any possible ideas as to whats up and whether i can fix it myself i would EXTREMLY grateful.

Thanks.

Mike.

Depends on the gauge smile

I think the Tiger ones are mechanical, in which case the cable might be giving up the ghost. There could well be a right angle piece where it comes out of the gearbox and those are known for failing from time to time.

If its an electronic speedo the the sensor has probably moved away from whatever it's sensing (most likely magnets on the propshaft). On my Striker this is happening with monotonous regularity at the moment, need to make up a better bracket I think smile

I've also occasionally "lost" one of the magnets on the propshafts. A simple fix to just glue a new one in place.
