I know I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but at the same time as I put my deposit down on a Griff I also decided my life would be incomplete without membership of one of the major recovery companies boxedin

Any recommendations as to who I should use bearing in mind the Griff is fairly low at the front?

All advice and piss-taking greatfully received.

Come on then, which one'd you get? smile

As for recovery, any of the main ones will do, there is not usually a problem with the low loaders as far as I know with Griffs, not every having had to try, but I would have thought that the AA or RAC would have the most modern lorries out there.

can I suggest all of them as they each limit the number of call outs you're allowed to make in a year smile

joking aside, very nice - hope it puts some hair on your chest biggrin

any chance of a spin next time I'm up?

Cureton Green - Best colour on any Tivver thumbupwink

Would recommend the AA on the basis of their additional parts and labour warranty which you can bolt on for another £60 a year or thereabouts. Just check the age limit though, I think it might be 10 years in which case that might not help you.

Spin? Would you care to rephrase that, I'm not very comfortable with that word these days biggrin

TC, it's not just green on the outside, it's got a green and fawn coloured interior. Sounds strange but looks drop dead gorgeous in the flesh cloud9

Welcome back to the fold thumbup

I used to be with RAC but got cheesed off with their costs and 2-3hr call out times, so switched to Green Flag which offered the same full cover i had with the RAC and my premium dropped by £50.
I switched on the recomendation of an indipendant recovery guy who was contracted to all the main services, and told me that with Green Flag they are supposed to arrive within 30 mins saying that with the RAC you could be waiting anything upto 3 hours.
Another tip: if you have a newer aurobox when you apply for the cover make that as your primary car (the Griff will be covered under the "any car" you are in part of the policy, but you won't have your premium loaded cos its older and more expensive to recover).

Interesting... So get the recovery on my Volvo 850 and the Griff is thrown in for free? Good thinking biggrin

Only problem with that is the Volvo is older than the Griff scratchchin
