Start You Barsteward!!!

My car has suddenly developed a starting problem. The fuse for the fuel pump keeps blowing each time I turn over the engine. It's been changed for a new pump - same thing. Had the wiring out and there's no sign of a short. Wired up the earth to the battery and now the ignition and injection fuse has started to blow.. 5 years of faultless starting has now come to end...Anyone sparks out there know what else to look for or can suggest a remedy?

I was hoping to bring my restored P&J to the fest - alas unless I can reslove the problem I aint going nowhere!

have u changed the fuel pump relay could be faulty

I assume you have the flapper ECU so the fuel pump would only run when you start cranking. In that case the problem could be caused by the fuel pump but equally it could be caused by a problem with the injection system. I'd suggest you take the fuel pump out of the equation by pulling the relay and fuses. If the problem still occurs with the pump out of the equation start testing the injector wiring.
