In my experience of Tuscans
Electrics are unreliable - especially the POD display and door electrics
Check whether the head valves, finger followers mod has been done (will need it at some point unless you want a more expensive problem)

Apart from that they are pretty good- just always warm up the engine properly before letting loose

(and IMHO join the TVR Car Club and then the TVR speed championship so you can really cut loose)

In terms of speed 12s, I don't know the exact numbers, but one was sold at Coys at Brands Hatch on Sunday - it went for £97k.

Coys suggested that as few as 5 were made, and all of the other 4 have been destroyed in various accidents, so this is the last one, but as with all things TVR, I'm sure somebody will correct me on this...

The Speed 12 didn't sell at Coys last Sunday. The reserve was £150K and it didn't make it.

Are you sure Brett? I was pretty sure it sold?

Coys haven't posted the results yet, so I can't check - it was certainly bid up to just under £100k, with a pre-auction estimate of £130-160k, so it seemed to be under expectations.

I was at Brands on the Bank Holiday Monday (day after auction) and chatted to the Coys bossman on their stand.
He said the Speed 12 had not sold and that the reserve was £150,000.
Interestingly, quite a few of the cars did not sell so maybe reserves are still a bit in cuckoo land?
