550 Maranello costs

Morning chaps - new to this forum so please bear with me!
COntemplating a 550 or maybe a 360. Not wanting to start a chat about which one to go for - interested in peoples views and experiences of running costs of 5 year old ferrari with circa 20k on the clock.
Looking at 6-8k miles a year to add on to that so what are the big service costs im likely to encounter? Dealer said about £700 a year annual servicing which just sounds a little light? Had always hear rumours of certain things needing to be done when doing higher miles that can easily ramp the costs up to a fair couple of grand a year?

That'll be because they're selling a Warrantywise product rather than a Ferrari Warranty, although the Ferrari product is only valid for Cars undr 6 Years Old. There are issues for people wanting to renew genuine Ferrari Warranties on currently owned cars or cars bought from non authorised dealers due ot FSA requirements however the Dealer can supply one on a Car they are selling providing it meets the age criteriaThen i found out the warranty has a £5k claim limit.

fwiw you can increase the WW poduct to £10k claim limit for another £300
cheers for the replies so far. what are the big ticket items to be aware of? dealer said cam belts were done last year, and typically these l;ast 3 years and cost £1.5k to do

incidentally it has 20k on the clock. Went to see it today and there seemed to be a lot of wear on the drivers seat. Certainly alot more than my 996 which has 60k on the clock. So... poor quality leather, or clocking?!

However I find it amazing that a dealer selling that value of
car has not seats attended to,[circa £100]!!
Makes me think, what else have they ignored.
Make sure you have it inspected by someone else.

Running costs really depend on how you use the car. I used mine as an every day driver - and racked up 18K miles very quickly (in a number of months - 5 I think) - this was v expensive!
Does GT excellently
Does Track days very well (but heavy on brake pads and discs). This car is slidable (and controllable) in the extreme! (So add tyres to the list!)
Make sure that you had all recalls done. Especially the wheel nuts/bolts!
If you are going to use it as a weekend type car/second car - the running coss will not be prohibative - but does like a drink when you get a wiggle on!
I like the 550 so much - I'm buying another (oick it up tomorrow afternoon) - and am off to Spa and the Nurnugrinh on Thursday and Friday!

To be honest, my main issue at the moment is leaving it on a road in clapham. While I think its pretty understatated in its looks, i cant help but think wait 12 months till i get a place with a garage or at the very least off street parking. Would do wonders for my nerves!

Now therein lies a story.........Loved my 550, did 8k miles in a year and in many ways wish I had kept it. Window seals are rubbish, coolants hoses need careful checking. Heavy on the brakes and the clutch. If you buy a car with belts done, a new clutch and new front brakes, you should be able to do a couple of years without major expense, but if something does go wrong, the costs can be nasty (£10k for a transmission on Harry's car (Evo)). Tyres are a big expense too if you press on.
