just a bit of info if your about, my car had headers and exhaust fitted by yourselves but on investigation i notice there is no cats and what looks like nowhere to fit any. with the mot date rapidly coming up i was wondering what the options are for fitting the cats and where they would fit because there doesnt seem to be any room till the after the headers join the exhaust.

as far as i'm aware ......... any car produced after 1992 has to have a CAT. Although I know of many cars running non cat exhausts , as long as it passes the emmisions test within the mot it will be passed. How does the tester know it has a Cat or not? Just because you've a cat shaped pipe in your exhaust doesn't mean you have one, and in enssence if it passes an emissions test then why would they need to cut open your system to prove if you have a cat or not.
common sense, just simple common sense. to coin a lyric

Wortec pack with headers - think it has racing cats but don't pend much time under the car.
