lotus engine swap
Discussion
As Fat Richie says, a Zetec/Duratec would be straghforward, though probably capable of producing more power than the chassis is comfortable with. Alfa Twincam would also be a possibility and perhaps more in keeping with the car's character (specially if you get one with the old style cam covers, pre-Twin Spark).
To be honest, if it's a genuine Lotus 22 (though IIRC from your previous posts, about the only bit of it that came out of Cheshunt was probably the chassis plate, n'est pas?), you should really try to maintain its originality by fitting the correct pre-crossflow Ford Cosworth or a Lotus Twin Cam.
How much has the chassis been butchered to fit the Kwakamota? I'm assuming that the engine bay as originaly designed wouldn't be wide enough for a transverse bike engine and gearbox and would also have required modification for the diff/chain drive?
