Help Wishbones urgent

Can anyone tell me the diference between old style and new style rear lower wishbones, I have to change one and the part I recieved looks identical to the one on the car but the paperwork says old type. I don't want to pull the car apart to find it's the wrong part. Maybe the old type have a ball joint or something and were fitted to 2.5s.
