Hi all

Anyone know what I need to do to watch .avi files on my iBook? Quicktime and RealPlayer both just show a blank screen.

Thanks

VLC should play them. You might also want to install Flip4mac, which will allow them to be played within QT.

VLC will work. I thought Flip4Mac was only to get .wmv to play on mac.

.avi is just a container. It can contain videos encoded using a number of different codecs. Installing Flip4Mac and Perian should enable Quicktime to playback most videos (protected WMV and mkv excluded right now)
