i know most rover v8 applications have used the lt77 gearbox, i have been told the R380 box can be used, has any one experienced this mod.
basically i have a track car and wish to change the gearbox to something stronger and with better gear ratios.
ideally dog box teeth could be fitted but i do not know where to get them.
cheers.

I read that some time ago...... however I did not get a lot of comfort from here that it would work.

Do a search in the Griff Forum.

BTW I just changed my LT77 box for a T5 box.......it wasn't a cheap option.

Talk to John Eales at JE Developments. He does a close ratio LT77 with straight cut internals.

Have you driven a dog box? It is a bit of an acquired art, and the box will probably have a fairly short life requiring frequent rebuilds.
