ABS brakes - how they should feel in use

Hi,

I've recently got an 02 plate E46. When I stamp on the brakes in either the dry or wet, they give a grating sound and feel whilst the ABS system is in use. On cars I've driven before I've felt a pulsing through th brakes and on th new 3 series it's very smooth. The grating is quite course and harsh.

Do any other owners find this unpleasant grating on your E46 or is eomthing possibly up with my car?

ASC/DSC will give you a harsh vibration/grating noise,you should also see the ASC/DSC lights flash on and off in the instrument cluster
