Just checking but the Tyres fitted as standard to my 56 Plate VXR (P-Zero Rosso) seem to have two tread depths - Near to the centre line there seems to be a wavey line which only goes half way through the tread and there are 4 deeper groves running all the way round the tyre. I noticed the wavy line is amost gone, but there seems to be pleanty of tread left according to the 4 groves. Any thoughts please?

Look or feel for the bumps inbetween the grooves, these are the legal limit indicators, if they are level with the surface of the tyre, it will need replacing (in pairs obviously). Tread pattern (and grip) on P Zero's is good anyway, it's just a matter of if your legal...

Still have 2mm or so over the bumps as you call them (4mm in the groves)- I guess they are still legal then?

Yes but be carefull in the wet as you won't have as much grip as with new tyres, I think the legal limit on tyres should be 3mm min, plus this would help me sell more tyres, mind you you will be better of in the dry !!!biggrin
Why not swap front to rear to get some more life out of what you have left.
