Shock Absorbers

I've just replaced dampers and springs on my T350. Went for new bespoke Bilsteins from Power and springs from Eibach. Fitted myself for under £800 inc p&p and a spring compressor. Logic? Didn't need the track adjustability of Nitrons and (I'm guessing) Bilsteins are (probably) better quality than Gaz and Protech in the long run. You pays your money and take your choice. I left the dampers on factory settings and the ride height is bang on where I wanted: 150mm at rear wheels 140mm at the front and the rear splitter lifted to 1100mm.
Yeh would tend to think Bilsteins are better than GaZ although dont mind paying for Nitrons if its worth it. Fitting myself would also be on the cards because it saves loads and is only afew hours work.
But what I really need to know is - is it worth it at all. Or is it just a minor difference for a lot of money. Upgraded once on a Griff an that made a massive difference, but the standard Griff was crap. The Tamora is much better to start with.

I had a leaking front damper, so was forced into a decision there. I did notice a difference with new fronts only on std springs. My decision was to replace and sensibly upgrade what needed doing rather than simply for the sake of it. Nonetheless, there is an opinion on here that early t350 (and Tam?) suspension was not all it should be. Post 2005 meant to be more sorted(see a thread called nitrons in Yorkshire, or something similar). Theres also a post somehere on there that says new Bilsteins/Eibachs have 'transformed' the car. Too early for me agree or not, yet. I guess it depends on your start point and needs, personally I wasn't prepared/didn't need to pay 50%+ extra for Nitrons. Good luck
