lol. Went for a short trip last night (and much longer one this morning) in the rain in the old GT2 and I swear it's getting more savage -- the v-power ECU optimisation still seems to be happening after the reset at service time (~750 miles in).

Seems to want to wheelspin up to 4th in a straight line in the rain, it got quite a bit sideways last night at speed kind of saying "ahem..." in a polite way.

This morning I drove ~140 miles across some great roads in the wet and made sure to show it heap big respect and we had a far more pleasant time together...

...oh yes, don't be under any allusion that it won't rip you head off if you push too hard esp. in the wet! Having said that, on a wet Bedford track i was quite surprised how much grip and traction there was...but that was on a very smooth surface with no lorry ruts and road grime.

Not to mention kerbs, oncoming traffic, telegraph poles, trees, fence posts , signposts, houses, walls, street furniture etc etc etc.........

Indeed and with my 8 year old in the passenger seat. Even she noticed. I wasn't actually trying to do anything heroic at all but it just came on a bit hard and spun up.

It's a bit like a two stroke, if you get a wheelspin just before peak torque it'll instantly rip through the revs.

This morning like I said I was extremely smooth and respectful of it and the payback was quite good speed but nicely controlled and relaxing.

I hit some standing water on the M42 shortly after I purchased my car. I hit it whilst "making progress" whistle the ensuing tank slapper exercised my sphincter rather more than I'd have liked yikes(the tyres whilst adjudged to be legal by the inspection I'd had carried out by Reading, noted they were due for replacement.....)
Since putting new MPS2s all round the car has been transformed.

Yes tread depth is very critical - I once had a hell of a moment in a 944 Turbo I owned a few years back in the wet. I was at the tyre depot at 9am next day !!
