Is anyone either booked or thinking of booking into a hotel for the Saturday night ?

It will probably be difficult now, but if we had enough takers we may be able to get a special rate by making a block booking at one of the larger ones.

Yep I am up for it. Just waiting for confirmation from the out-laws for nipper watch then I am going to try and find somewhere. I don't think it will be that difficult to get within 20 miles of the event will it?

I'd like to but I am unsure how I'll get from the campsite back to the hotel when incapable of driving at about 2/3am. (or the return trip sunday morning for that matter.

If you insist on being a big Jessie and staying in a hotel there are a couple of good B&Bs in lower queintin (Little village about 20 mins walk from Avon Park) IIRC.

were staying at the Falcon Hotel, looks very olde worlde from the outside but rooms are fairly modern. right in the middle of town. Good thing is it has its own secure carpark.

Are there any hotels in the vicinity who have family rooms (or a room with a double bed and a single bed)?

According to expedia.co.uk the Falcon may have what you want... worth a ring!

Cool - I'll be bringing the Noble along, as well as Nick I would imagine.

I'll probably be driving back on the Saturday evening, leaving the car at the hotel (depending on parking), having a freshen up and then going back for a few beers with the other PH'ers at the site having booked a cab there and for the return - as I'll be on my tod anyone is welcome to share the cab with me.

I've just booked in there as well. Presumably you were intending to get a Taxi to the evening events ?
