EBC YEllowstuff pads help needed
Discussion
Been looking for replacement pads. Had a look at EBC YEllowstuff as i was happy with these before, but never tried on a Nob.
Now for the front, not a problem, they list the M12 02-04 IIRC and the M14(?). For the rears they list the M14(?) from 04-06. Do you think the M400=M14 in their eyes? I am told the pad shape is very similar to the front pads but not exactly the same.
Do the M400 boys have different rear calipers as std? I thought the had Ferodo 2500's as std, but assumed the braking system was the same as the 3R's etc in all other ways.

The front pads are about 55mm thick and the rears 45mm. I think
Ferodo use the same pad number for front and rear but the rears have to be chamferred. What was the cost of the Pagids? I ran Yellowstuff on another car and couldnt justify 150 quid for really no difference. I am not a track or on road nutter, just like to upgrade while things need replacing

Front or rear or both Ian. What was the factory cost? I seem to remember on other posts the factory was nearly double what 3rd party vendors could get them for. I have the part code for the DS2500's, just wanted to try something different
Adam, I have ordered a set of both front and rear. They should arrive today. Can't remember the exact price, but I will confirm when they arrive.
Cheers,
Ian.

Adam - for mostly road and occasional track use DS2500s are fine. Pagid RS29s (Yellow) are much more track focussed, they will last a lot longer with just road use, but will be a lot noisier. Even with lashings of Copperslip they will still squeal like a stuck pig when coming to a standstill.
Nice man just delivered my DS 2500 pads. £78.06 rears, £94.80 fronts plus vat.
Cheers,
Ian.
Remember when I bought a 911 RS Touring new (964 shape) in '92. Took the (ex) wife out for a drive. One of the most impressive things I remember were the brakes stopping power when you asked for them. On light application they squeaked and squarked, she commented "Eee... yoooz pay aaaal that mooneey forrr this and the breaaaks makk that rooo."
Didn't bother to explain the physics.
Cheers,
Ian.

I fitted the last set, and it's very straight forward.
Fitting the rears is the same operation as the fronts (although they are different size and shape pads).
The handbrake works via brake shoes inside the rear hub, and an independent system to the foot brake.
I'm sure somewhere here on the Noble forum there is advice on adjusting the handbrake.
Cheers,
Ian.

Thanks. Really need to take some time out to look at the car properly!
Ian, any chance of a picture (to show shape profile) of the old rear pad, so i can send off the picture to another vendor? If not i will strip the rears if the weather clears up
