cheers guys
I'll have to check on the focal length but the distortion is more due to the first image should be rotated 90 degrees anti clockwise. That image was taken with me stood over her shooting down, unfortunately my house is bare at the minute so had nothing really to stand on to get higher.
The second one was taken with her facing with her legs at the background and raised vertical, taken with me standing slightly back and looking down.

There is nothing sexy or erotic about the poses. She looks really uncomfortable and awkward. Her facial expressions are wrong too as they look contrived. The stockings are too high and the skin at the top of her legs is far too light, as is the skin under her right breast in the first shot. It is almost devoid of any detail. It is the lightest part of the picture so your eye is drawn there.
The backdrop doesn't work either as she appears to be almost floating. Try satin next time so that you have some lovely lines to add to the composition, drawing your eye around the frame and possibly to echo the curves of her body. It is a bit more sensuous than black velvet or the fabric you selected.
My best advice is to have a look at the work of Helmut Newton and other greats of nude and erotic photography who have, over the years, contributed to the Pirelli calendar.
When working with an inexperienced model it may be really helpful to show her pictures to indicate what you are seeking to achieve in terms of pose and composition.
Not bad for a first attempt at a very difficult subject. With all the advice on here and some more research, you should get some better results next time.
