A productive weekend. What did you do?

Wet, miserable bank holidays are a good thing (occasionally). I realise there are a lot of people who would disagree with this satement(SWMBO definately falls into that category) but the one we just had gave me the opportunity to get in the garage and get a couple of little jobs done on the S.
After what many would see as a washout of a long weekend my car now has a lovely new bulkhead steering bearing (what a difference that made), no longer do I have a wobbly dirvers door window frame due to self tappers that don't tighten into the glass fibre anymore and my car now comes with remote central locking and more importantly remote boot release!
So last night I was feeling pretty good, some worthwhile jobs done and the car back in one piece and ready to go.
When I awoke this morning I was feeling rather ill so took the day off work. I had to pop out for some groceries and to the post office this aft. As my MOT was due to expire on June 15th and as I was passing I decided to drop by the testing station just in case they could squeeze it in thinking then if it needed owt I would have a list and a couple of weeks to sort it.
IT ONLY SAILED STRAIGHT THROUGH AGAIN!
No problems, no advisories, nothing.
The only comment made by my friendly tester being "Tis a thing of beauty".
So there we have it the weather may have been cold, wet and windy but I was happily tinkering away in the garage and all is well in my world.
I still love being a TVR owner and to all those who try to slate the marque or talk them down, I stick out my tongue, blow a huge raspberry and say Don't knock it till you've tried it.

Yep, agree, the weather should be made to be bad when theres a job to do on the Tiv... But not when its ready to drive !
For my part I got the new swirl tank fitted, the old gearstick gaiter off and a new (well new to me anyway) rubber gaiter in hand ready for fitting. Also sorted some old wiring out from under the dash and rewired the fan over-ride switch, replaced a reverselight bulb and fiddled with loads of other stuff until my passout expired and I had to take SWMBO somewhere important but far less interesting...

Managed to dodge the showers for long enough to get some new carpet in under the seats (took them out a couple of weeks ago for a clean and paint) and to refit the mats. Since I was getting busy with the adhesive I also tidied up the boot carpets and fitted a 'boot tidy' to stop all my tools, maps, gloves etc rolling about in the boot. Put the finishing touches to my nice new roof bags too. Got a load of shiny new nuts, bolts and washers from my friendly local DIY store - one of those places that still has a big wooden cupboard with drawers full of bits and bobs in little compartments - and hoping for a nice evening tomorrow to get the seats back in.
