Assuming you mean for the GP then camping at the local golf course (woodbury park ?) is pretty close to the circuit and has a beer tent.

Whittlebury Park, Golf & Country Club.

Its about as close as you can get, pre booking is a must, I would call first if I were you to see if they still have availability.
I recieved my passes yesterday, booked in January.
Facilities aren't bad (could do with more shower blocks).

I managed to just show up a few years ago and got in with no problems. The price they charge it is probably worth messing up a few holes on the golf course to fit overspill

If it's for the GP there are links on Silverstone's website. Whittlebury is probably the best equipped site but some of the others are probably closer.

Don't know how close you want to get, but this our pitch at Whittlebury last year, thats Becketts in the background.

tvrbob,

Our paths must have crossed at some point over the years at track days.
Pop by for a beer at Silverstone there are 6 of us, 3 of which are TVRCC members, owners and enthusiasts my two sons and the brother in law.

John.

I love the picture on your profile. Looks rather sideways to me. You'll have to let me know what you'll be driving. I'll be on the Grandstand site, nearest to the circuit. I'm going to be in my Chim if the weather looks OK otherwise I'll be in a 56reg black MINI Cooper S.

Because theres six of us, we'll be in my Mazda 6 for 4 people and a transit van for 2 and 120 cases of beer, not sure if theres any room for the tent yet, might have to get rid of one of the kid's.

I usually just turn up on the Friday night or Saturday morning and drive up the Dadford Road and use one of the campsites off that. There's Litchlake Farm oppsite the main gate, which fills very quickly, then another one further down off the bottom of Club Corner. Neither of them allow you to book in advance, but they're close to the fairground and then beer marquee if you're into that sort of thing.
