Forgive me lack of knowledge as I am acting on second hand information.

A work colleague has just had an NIP which I encouraged her not to sign.

She tells me there are two signatures required and she made the mistake of signing the one which confirmed her address, but not the one at the end of the document. The form is filled in as per the legal requirement.

Does this mean the NIP will stand?

Apologies for the vagueness as I have not seen the form myself

Interesting question.

I would guess that she is okay if it's seperate boxes. She has signed to confirm her address. She has not signed to confirm the driver details. However, I could be wrong.

Not sure if this helps, but she has now been sent a letter asking her for her licence. She is confused and worried about her insurance going up, but I have sent her links to the threads here.

It's just about the signing of the box to confirm her name

Is that the normal "offer of FPN for £60 and 3 points or go to court" thing where you send them your license if you accept their kind offer?

They want her to sign so that they can make her a splendid offer! Can you guess what it is yet At the moment they have no evidence so my guess is that she's off the hook. Tis up to her what she chooses to do but if it helps, I think most insurance companies aren't concerned about minor speeding offences.
