Hi Isaac
That's what we do! Supply companies with coporate gifts etc.
Please email me through my profile.
YHM.
On a side issue - if someone (i.e. me) were to have an idea for a novel yet cheap "promotional" gift. How would they (me) go about a) getting it made and b) approaching people such as yourself to distribute it?That's what we do! Supply companies with coporate gifts etc.

Thanks and sorry for the hi-jack.
I always find sourcing gifts quite a challenge because you want to find something that people will like, keep and not just fob off to someone else or bin.
I have bought business card holders in the past, golf towels, base ball caps and really nice key rings but, sadly, I only buy small quantities at a time.
I rarely buy pens but do sometimed buy propelling pencils because not many companies give them away.

If you're going to get a key fob done, make it a bottle opener you can never have to many of them. Propelling pencils are great i have one form a supplier and wish for more. USB memory sticks are the best by a long way people fight for them. You can get all kinds of things though, lip salve, lanyards, I’ve got a really cool beer bottle holder to keep your beer cold and your hand warm.
Good point, but I really can't remember ever receiving a gift really worth keeping apart, from maybe a good desk diary once in a while.
That's exactly why I try to find things that will be kept/used by clients and not simply put aside or binned.
It doesn't have to be expensive just useful and different.

I LOVE free pens.
Oooh and erasers and highlighters and rulers. Omg yes. Stationary. Oh yes.
god damn that's some enthusiasm...Would you like me to send you some free bits and pieces? I have the coolest pens, highlighter sets, amusing multi-sized post-it notes and all sorts! Never actually known anyone THAT keen for them tho!I LOVE free pens.

Damn we give out some tat.....
Personally I think that whilst keyring hard drives are a great gift...they dont necessarily get the brand in peoples heads (I have 2 on my keyring and I couldnt tell you who gave me them and have had em a year or so!).
Sounds boring...but have decided mugs are the best gift. You keep them, they do usually get used (unless you order stupidly small ones) and you tend to actually look at the thing you're drinking from.

Construction subcontractor?
Well the only gifts that I use that I am sent are: Scale Ruler (decent quality that can actually be used), desk calendar (reversible with cars on one side and countryside on other), decent quality diary (crap ones go in the bin).
Whenever I need a S/C's number - these are the first places I look.
What does the comnpany do?

Previously posted that I use this diary and notepad everydayhttp://www.adlerglobal.com/ukdgeorgia.aspx
Adlerglobal sent me a complimentary one this year with my business details on the cover - I'd been receiving their 'notepadless' diary from a friend's solicitors firm each year...and countless other work related type diaries which I didn't use.
The notepad really does make a difference.

then nick your idea and bugger off to make another million
The problem with this sort of thing is that all the gifts tend to be naff and the customer realises that they are cheap so I don't think they do much good. I personally prefer to give the key customers something particular to them, golf days, trackdays, hampers for xmas that sort of stuff, means much more to them and you get a far better return.

I think I had a bit of a free stationery addiction
Mugs are a very good freebie - good choice. Also lipbalms are very good too (had a few of those in my time too and its a very good way of getting your product/service across as lipbalm is ALWAYS needed)

Perhaps Limbalm for a construction subcontractor would be a bit, well, gay?Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
