After a very very sh_te weekend (won't go into details..) I noticed this morning that the passenger side lower half of the door and sill of my M3 is covered in neon blue aerosol paint, cutting a long story short I have reversed over a can of road marking paint that the local road contrators have left in the road following some recent roadworks opposite my office, the can has exploded and the paint has gone half way up the door, inside the car onto the sill plate and underneath.

The paint is well and truely dried on and won't be shifted with a clay bar (there is way too much of it) and I am worried about playing with solvents myself in case I bugger the factory paint. Anyone got any bright ideas to remove it or recommend a good local valeting company near Herts to look at removing it? I am in discussions with the contrator to get them to pay for the damage but this could take some time and in the meantime I would like to get the paint removed.

Thanks in advance

I'm sure that paint will come off without too much bother-it's designed to fade away to nothing on the roads anyway. Take it to a body shop and i bet they have it off in no time wink Don't try "T cutting" it off yourself as you may damage the top coat!!
