Was informed by a trader this last week of a 'P' reg Cerbera 4.2 that went through trade. Good body, chassis and engine condition, 23,000 miles, dark blue...

Sold for £8500.00

I knew they were dropping in price but bloody hell...anyone know how to sweet talk my bank manager?

Thing is you could spend nearly that running it for 3 years. So if you look at it as a three year car £8000.00 turns to £16000.00 + Fuel not bad really for what you get but the sale price is only half the cost.

Yep, you could spend a lot of cash fixing problems.

The trade dont understand them, when they do come up through non specialists they can be steals, the Chimaera i had before the Cerb came this way, and at the time was about 4k cheaper than anything around at the time. People who usually own TVR's know the going rate, but you get the odd one.

i know this car very well...

when i was looking for a car the guy drove the car down to see me from scotland....

he wanted ten grand....the car was horrible the interior stunk of damp ..the door electrics did not work the diff had major issues the suspension drove horribly...

the body work was poor...

he reduced to 8k and i said no..he then sold it to tvr london for 7.5k....they then resold it and a trader put it up for 12.5k two weeks later no one ever bought it...

in my opinion this car would take about 8000 to turn it into a cerb...

its a project only!!!!

Hmmmm...doesn't sound like the same car from the description I was given. Was told it was a decent one. It was reposessed just before it was sold apparently...

If you`ve £5000 under your pillow for rainy cerb days then go for it and take yer chances.Otherwise do your research, find an owner that sits there for 5 mins till the engine/oil gets warm then drives off.Services it when required (which is yearly) Then weeps as you drive it away. Then you`ve a good`n.Untill then don`t bother.

It's pointless anyway. I could buy the car for that much (maybe more) but I know it would just bankrupt me too quickly. That's the (unfortunate) reality. I love cars but I'm not stupid.
