Have tried seaching on here for how to re-attatch the silver heat cover that is attatched to the underside of the bonnet. The DIY places seem to have some stuff that may be suitable inc. some heat resitant putty!

Any ideas?

I changed the heatshield on my Griff about a month ago. I bought a tube of some heat resistant silicone but ended up with only half of the heat shield stuck before it ran out.
The new stuff stank to high heaven which I always take as a good thing for silicones. I think its called Fireseal but whats left is in the garage so I'll confirm that later.
It was bought from a good local hardware store as I couldn't find anything suitable in the usual DIY stores.

Not sure if you know, standard silicon will easily withstand the heat produced under the bonnet of these cars with ease, this stuff is fine for water pumps thermostat housings etc,the high temp stuff is hyped up.

Hi
Try Foster Spraytack, it sticks anything to everything!
Its an aerosol adhesive, spray on the heat shield, then on the car, allow both to dry and then stick them together, bit like the old evo stick.
its made by Temati UK Ltd, Kikby in Ashfield, Notts

Hope this helps
