Hi, I bought a 910 last Friday and after using it in France at the weekend I thought it was a great piece of kit, however when I tried to turn it on today and it won't start up, it was ok when I switched it off last night and I have had it on charge and nothing.

Anyone have any ideas as to what could be up with it? Its going back to Halfords tonight but I just wanted to check I wasn't missing something?

Try resetting it, this usually tends to happen if it's left on to long and the battery gets low (but sometimes does just happen, done it to mine twice in a year). Check the manual for the position of the reset button but you need to push a pin into it, it's located where the cradle clips on (not easy to see!)

I was just about to ask a similar question. Used mine in Sicily (excellent) and come back to UK and now the TT fires up but cannot find a GPS signal - screen shows me still being in Sicily !
Was going to try a hard reset but but if anyone knows another possible way of curing ?
Also - will a hard reset erase my favorites ?

Don't do a reset until you've tried starting it in an open space. I know I have to walk to the far corner of my back garden if I want it to start with a satellite signal so it knows where it is.

Thanks for the answers, I took it back to Halfords as I couldn't find the reset button, they reset it and all ok so far clap

The reset button is a little button on the PCB board.

really? mine is defiantly user accesable...it tells you how in the manual, however mine is a very early 910.

It can take upwards of 30minutes to re find itself. You aren't really supposed to move it when it's off (at least that's what I was told). I just leave mine on a windowsill for a while with a destination set...when it finds itself it'll start jabbering on about where to turn at the end of the road etc and you know it's OK again.

Also, on mine resetting does not lose the favourites but does lose some preferances.

Mine didn't lose anything and found the sats straight away when re-started.
