Right got my Euros, sorting out the final packing to hand over my bag to the those who are taking it down for me and only really got the travel insurance to sort out…

Anyone know which (if any) of the 1,000,000 companies which seem to do this (or dare I say had to claim with any of them which was successful) when it comes to items being stolen from a tent. Either occupied or not?

Hope to hell I don’t have any troubles this year after learning my lesson last when the motorhome I was staying in was broken into in Arnarge on the Tuesday and I ended up losing £1,700+ worth of clothes, cds, etc, etc. That time I was able to claim against the home policy but my g/f and the others were out of luck and we are thinking about getting an annual policy for us both as we have 3 or 4 more trips planned this year.

Thanks.

Annual multi-trip insurance can be a bit of a rip off to say the least, however, if you bank with RBS then make sure you get a Royalties Gold Account, they charge a monthly fee of @£5, but they include annual travel insurance as a benefit to account holders. have looked at stand alone policies and this is by far the cheapest option. Have booked holidays through their service and have been amazed at the saving there too.

And no i don't work for them !!

rbs is now £12 a month for a royalties gold account - thats who i use, covers for travel insurance and discounts in hotels etc which can be handy. im travelling three times this year and the policy covers me for them all.

The problem is surely that most of these policies don't cover stuff that's not either with you, or under lock and key?
