Help,my fuel guage has stopped working, its not registering at all the needle is off the scale at the Empty side.I have looked in the electrical drawing in the Steve Heath manual and it is not shown on the drawing at all,the only mention of it is in the colour code section which says it is feed by a green cable but does not say where it is fed from,my Griff is a pre-cat any ideas? Thanks

You could try shorting the cables on top of the fuel tank WHILE IGNITION IS OFFonce shorted turn ignition on to see what guage says. They go to the sender in the tank. It will prove whether thats the fault or not for starters.

Can't be much help, but if it makes you feel better mine went queer the other day. I'd let it get lower than usual (I usually fill up at quarter full), it was almost empty. The next time I started it the gauge showed full, although I knew it was as good as empty.
I began to worry that I have a problem, but once it was filled to the brim it soon started to drop as the miles mounted as one would expect. biggrin I'll have to keep an eye on it in the future though as I now know it can tell lies.
