And I think there was a very close finish at Monza in the sixties that no one is quite sure how close it was because in those days they only timed to the nearest tenth of a second or something.

Back to Mansell & Senna at Jerez in 86, Mansell said after the race that they had moved the finish line closer to the last corner. It used to be further up the track (where the MotoGP line is today) and he thought he had crossed the line (later line) first until he remembered they had moved it.

Surely they could of added some impact absorbing material to the areas of little run off rather than creating the A1 ring
