I was being facetious.
The car control skills that even the least good of the F1 drivers have is off the charts.
IINM, Piquet was more inclined than most to get the rear loose whilst remaining in complete control.

Agreed it was greatto watch a bit of sliding for a change, but there is a wholeworld of difference between drifting at the apex and hanging the tail out into a corner to scrub the sped off because it is the ONLY way you're going to get round the corner!

Agreed it was greatto watch a bit of sliding for a change, but there is a wholeworld of difference between drifting at the apex and hanging the tail out into a corner to scrub the sped off because it is the ONLY way you're going to get round the corner!

And modern traction control has been known to make it a TAD easier to do.

Yep - I remember watching the the much-derided Alex Yoong attacking Lesmo 2 during morning practice, in isolation he looked awesome... probably the best example of just how gifted the top drivers in F1 really are.
