Le Mans

It's that time of year again and l am wondering who of the many considering Le Mans are actually making the trip. Some are going with the club/factory tour but others independently. So who among you is going?

I am with the co driver being domster. Several other local Ult owner/builders are going as well.

I,m going and so is J-K in his CanAm (Just hope he can keep up). We're both going with the club.

We will be there (as per the last 3 years!) but we go from Portsmouth as its 20 mins drive from home. Tons of good stuff goes on the Friday morning ferry, its like a free trip to Supercar sunday, you name it its on that ferry crossing. Hope to see you all there.
Seems the "special people" ie with the factory seem to hide away and not do the customary burnouts etc? you must be getting old! Still, Hope to see you all there... my car will be the one with two black lines behind it.

Well, I think that at last I´ll be there this year. The trip is a little bit longer than your weekend walk from England but be prepared with the cold drinks, the washing kit to remove the "mosquiteria" from my GTR´s nose and don´t forget clean underwear (by the way). Cheers.

Hi, Last minute entry with the club. Will be starting with car full of Ultima spotters from Kent (land of my Birth. Will not have Canam finished so will put a suitable picture in back window of Holden. May not be able to keep up with you chaps but will offer a service of collecting any bits that fall off and returning mid way.

Thats the way I like the Ultimas. A little bit of pretty noise to show whats the beast in front. I´m planning to invite you and all ultima club people to a long weekend here (good food and drinks, sun, beach and track action). See you + family at France.

Yes Javier and hola. l do like the plan. Where in Spain? it is a big place. l have yet to take my car there but plan on visiting Monaco in the Ultima in September. Barcelona could be achievable from there but Seville less so, depending on the patience of my passenger, the heat and the efficiency of my air con. All of these vary hugely, especially the former, so l cannot make any predictions.

HOLA Nick:
Well, the place where I live is very very close to Vigo. Vigo is located in the northwest at the atlantic coast and very close to the north of Portugal. Because the latitude wheater is usually kind 20-28º in summer and 8-14º in winter with some showers. At this time I´m putting dates, numbers, directions etc on a paper and I will present to the UltimaClub as soon as I have it finished. My plan will be for the last summer days or early in the autumm. There is a ferryboat from Plymouth to Santander (4,5 hours from Vigo) and because September is still good we can have beachdays and sun for everybody. There is a circuit at 40 minutes from Vigo which I can arrange for some track action. Anyway, there are a lot of posibilities for motoring here. This is a very turistic zone but in September most of people has gone and then is the best time for our cars.
