power loss/misfire

noticed my Griff has an intermittant power loss, suddenly stops firing on all cylinders, when I pull ovr, turn off engine, then turn on, its back to all eight, anyone any ideas?

There's loads of things to try sadly, First off try replacing the two metal relays in the passenger foot-well, these can fail as they bounce around on the end of the loom.

Are the engine earth straps in good condition?

When was the dizzy cap, leads and rotor arm changed?

You can check lead resistance to determine their health,

The other two should probably be changed as a matter of course as they're not much.
