All,

On the old style lights found on the back of a chimp, has anyone else here apart from me managed to drop a bulb into the small hole where the bulbs fit through?

I changed my rear light/brake bulb once and it fell into the holder as I was fitting the whole thing back together. It took me half an hour and very cut up fingers to pull the damn bulb out! I have no idea how I managed to get it out!

Fortunately I've now had my old style lights replaced with the new round ones so won't have the problem again!

It was quite funny at the time though...

ChimaeraWolf,

Just changed the front lights on my older Chimaera the other day. No access hatch, must remove the grill to get to them. Nice one - took me ages to get in a position to push my arm through the hole and then around to the light...

Managed to drop the old light too - ended up cutting and scratching my hand trying to find it and get it out! Glad to see that later Chimaeras did get the access hatch - just a shame that mine isnt one of them!

Nice lights now, but hurt hands. I wont be doing that in a hurry..

Cheers,

Paul

Paul were you upgrading the lights?
I need to replace an indicator bulb and was wondering if it was worth making any improvements while I'm down there.
