Afternoon all
Just had 4 nice shiny new tyres put on my shiny wheels Just wondering what anyone reckons to their performance/handling/etc as I'm being good and not driving her until she has an MOT.

Bridgestone RE71 (205/60/VR14)

They were one of the few (two) available in that size, they look half decent and are shiny, which helps I'm sure

She does look happier sitting on the ground instead of hovering!

cheers
Dave

I had these all round on my S2. They are a very good tyre. I found them great in the wet and progressive in the dry.

They were very very good on track as well.

Well, now I'm sulking. Just went out and had a look at her and one of the bl%%dy things is flat as a very flat thing It's on the same corner as the old tyre which had a fairly quick slow puncture before. But what are the odds of putting that wheel back on the same corner again! I know, 1 in 4 before anyone says it Leaky rim I guess...............

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, boooooooooo, crappy horrible car

Anyone wanna buy a TVR

I used to run these on my wedge - an excellent tyre, however when they were due for changing I asked around a bit, did some research etc thinking tyre technology must have come on a bit in 13 years (when the RE71 originated) and I'm currently running a Uniroyal 520 (AA traction rated with 260 treadwear, RE71 A rated with 140 treadwear)on the front with the RE71 on the back and the handling is now very much tended to oversteer with excellent wet grip. some when the back bridgestones need changing I'll be putting the Uniroyals on, only 72 quid each as well .

hmmmm, at least mine isn't trying to set itself alight I guess Hope you sort that one out and make sure she doesn't do it again.

Grrrrr, I'm still cross with her though
