Ideally i'm after someone who can prevent the lacquer peal after 12-18 months which seems to be the current issue. I'm based Near Bath but am willing to travel for the right company.
thanks

if you can find someone that can make them last that long then you've cracked it! No one will warranty diamond cut rims for more than 6 months i think. Its due to as soon as theres a scratch/stonechip water gets under the laquer and starts to reac/spider/peel so theres not a lot you can do about it frown

IMHO sccoby s right , but Diamond styling used too anodise the offending bits , yes u can still haeve the letters on and actually they do not look dramatically different .............they then last long long time ............bad news Chris Talabi , owner retired , not sure they still do it ................Adrian of Maritime Blue rs fame , mate of John Proberts does a variety of things, Cheshire based .........dont have contact, cud Try John Proberts helpful bloke will know how to get him
Good luck they re a real bugger!

Its serious money to have split rims refurbed, I think the bolts are about 2.50 each and there are quite a few!

Hi smile

You will have a problem with ANY company guaranteeing them...I rang around about my sport designs and could not get ANYONE to offer a guarantee of longer than 3 months after the work.....so I gave up smile

All the best Brett smile

Then why have them lacquered, either keep them bare and polish every month/fortnight (pick your choice) or have them anodised (which dulls them a bit but..)

Horses for courses, mine are bare; and polished when I think they look a little jaded, probably once a fortnight with some Autosol.

Just had my split rims refurbed.

Went for a painted rim and boy do they look the part.

Chap in the shop reckoned they should be good for 6 years as opposed to 6 months with diamond cutting. Made no difference to the cost but his advice was "diamond cut if you are selling, paint if you are keeping"

I will post some pics once I get broadband and have finished the car.

Another vote to have them painted. Diamond cutting removes alloy from the lip and makes the rim look flat/thin.. painting keeps the original curve of the wheel rim. Lepsons in Gillingham Kent can do a good job on split rims.
