My wife reckons that cerb drives are all much younger than me..and that its a mid life crisis..i am 38..what is the average age of our cerb drivers..and she wants to know how old are the understanding pistonhead wives. cos she thinks your wives put up with too much...so average wife age as well please

I'm 40, the wife is 46. She keeps telling me its my midlife crisis but I've had strange/sporty/odd cars since I started driving (and some before then). But I cant help thinking she might be right!

Now on my third TVR and sadly the Cerb is a distant noisy memory (another... one day...) but I was 27 when I had it.

35 & 34 for me and wife respectively - have had a few silly cars since before I met her though so she has never accused me of having a MLC, just noted that they seem to get a bit sillier. Really fancy an older Bentley to go with the Cerb and the Landy, that might just finish her off on the "understanding wife" bit I think though.

Was 31 when I had my first Cerb (4.2), wife was 25. Was 33 / 27 when we had the 4.5 for a couple of years which we sold earlier this year. Definitely not a mid-age crisis car (maybe if I were 45+), always been a petrolhead and always will be, although there are times in your life when "sensible options" prevailfrown
