Fuel filter on 944S2

A quick one, I hope.
If I swap the fuel filter on my wifes's S2 will I get the contents of the tank dumped in my face or just what's locally in the pipes? Seems that nothing will flow past the pump and little will flow back down the system from the front????

When I changed mine all I got was a very small leakage, so no should be the answer.

Thanks for this. There's nothing worse than a faceful of petrol and it always seems to run up one's sleeve.
