Just a heads up really, should be good, from Croft this weekend. Weathers nice so the crowds will be huge!

I see Plato is up to his usual tricks rolleyes goes from fighting off giovanardi in the pack- punts off Turkington - chaos behind and and easy 1-2 finish.

The funny thing was that large numbers of people buggered off after the last BTCC race, but there's more action at the first corner of a Clio Cup race than there is in all the other races combined!

Top day out! Turkington stole the first BTCC race, but got shafted on the second.

I left before the last BTCC race to avoid the traffic. I've been caught up in the madness before with the 1 meeting a year types all leaving at the same time and don't intend to do it again wink

Headed home on quiet roads and caught the last 3 races of the day on Setanta biggrin

Nice photo's, thoug the 911 shown is a 997 Turbo, not a GT2

!

It had "GT2" written on the back, so to a Porsche-dullard like me, that was good enough.

ETA: Hang on. There was another grey silvery Porsche floating around that DID have GT2 written on the back, so I could easily have been confused.

The car you photographed is a 997 TT, they havent started selling the 997 GT2 yet.

But its easy to confuse that with a 996 GT2 if you dont know the marque that well

I was stood down at the complex for most of the day, and now I am the colour of a tomato.

Saw Onslow-Cole go off in the first race, appeared to have a bit of a fracas and blow a rear tyre. That Porsche Cayenne doctor's car was mad, properly 4 wheel drifting around the last 2 corners. Awesome.

Graebob, do you mind if I put the pic of that bobtailed Rangie in the Land Rover forum on PH and landrover.net?

Whomever was driving that was certainly having fun all afternoon and was trying harder than some of the racing drivers!

Didn't realise I'd taken so many until I uploaded them!

No problemo, I don't actually know whose it was, I think it belonged to one of the A-Tech BTCC Alfa guys, cos he was towing it back to the pits. PM me a link to the thread, I'm interested in this "bobtailing"
