Yes Andy, not alot of cars there when i got to the carpark at about 3ish,but saw afew on the road. Then me and the wife went for a meal and drove home.Rained most of the day but the car drove great ,never missed abeat im well happy.
Steve
Sorry to have missed you Steve. Everyone had had enough by 3pm on the Saturday due to is pis-- raining heavily. The autotest and concours had finished by then. Needed to go and bail out the car. Normally does not leak, but the all day rain was just too much this time !!!
As a thought did anyone video the last few cars at the autotest. Apparently my reverse 180 degree spin was the best of the day and would like to see it. Burgundy 450SE for info.

Unfortunately just missed 4 other SEACs,sorry guys maybe next time.Steve
Yes i was rather wet wasn't i ! but the best bit was trying to de-mist the car with a very wet gazebo, driver and soggy boxes
, it was clear by the time i got to the M25
Cheers Tim
Spent a couple of hours there yesterday. Pity the weather didn't know whether to chuck it down, or be glorious sunshine.
Wedge highlights:
A white 420 SEAC gunning it down past Pontins. He was following a Chimaera and a Tuscan, and was by far the better sounding car. In fact, and this may be little sad to admit, it brought me out in goose pimples.
A very nice green 350i with a TVR shaped vent cut into the bonnet. It also had a later SE interior, so I don't know whether it was one of the last ones to be built or was retro fitted.
The thought of Geminis Black Wedge leading the cavalcade, what an honour. Only he shot to the back as we were about to start.
A red wedge convoy leaving the hotel, followed by a very silent MX-5. The first was an ace 460 badged SEAC, followed by a 400SE and a 350SE. You could hear them popping and farting all the way down the drive.
A smart burgundy 450SE. I assume that was Broadsides.
The best, though, was a metallic green 390SE with a faded burgundy roof. The best, because it was mine.

BoltonTVR,
Thanks for the compliments on my 450, I was indeed there, sorry not to have caught up with you. The weather was not conjusive to outdoor wedge talkathons !!!
As a suggestion for the next event, why don't we put our Pistonheads monikers in the windscreen so that we can readily identify each other. The problem with backhome is too many wedges such little time !!! What do you think !!??
I enjoyed looking at all the wedges present, (my car will never be as good as Karls 460 SEAC), and I think the wedge owners did themselves proud in the autotest, more wedges doing it than any other model in my opinion. I had a go before they closed the event, so if anyone has a video of it I would be grateful of a copy (all expenses paid).
Regards

'ELLO, 'ELLO, Gemini,
Saw your motor over the weekend and saw you too from a distance (you look very fetching in fluorescent yellow). Was 2-3 cars behind you on the prom run at one stage. Sorry not to catch up with you, will be in touch.
Thanks for organising the run along the prom

I saw your SE Bolton! I was in the "Quartz Rose" (read brown) 350i about 7 cars from the front. I thought it was funny when we set off then the heavens opened and everyone stopped again to put the roofs' back on. Was a pity that the group got split up by so many normal cars. Then the farce at the round about with everyone going up the prom. Would be nice to have a Wedge meeting in the north west I reckon....
That was funny when it started to rain. It was a pity that we didn't stop as quick when the sun came out to put the roofs back down. I wasn't unduly worried about taking the wrong turning at the roundabout, it was part of the fun of driving around. I later followed a Chimaera into the Blackpool Zoo entrance, just goes to show we should have kept the wedge at the front.
I'll hopefully be in Cumbria a week on Friday, I'm going to the beer festival at Keswick. I first need to see if I can get all my camping stuff in the boot of the TVR, otherwise I'll be taking the family car.

I had my roof down at the start of the prom run, when it started to pee down, thought it would only be a passing shower, but still got really wet. Could not be bothered to stop and put roof back on. I did put the rear header up, but it made no difference. I am sure that rain cloud followed me down the promenade. Anyway, I was giving an old mate a lift in the 450 on sunday and its the first time hes been in an open top car with the roof off, I hope I haven't put him off, because he got the works, rain, wind, sea spray, rain, sunshine and did I mention rain ?
We arrived at the DeVere roof off and and enjoying the sunshine. Also had the heater fan on full belt to draw some heat out of the car !!!
