For some reason my version of Photoshop is resizing images when I'm cropping them - let me rephrase that slightly....

When being cropped they also reduce in resolution (cropping a 10MB Jpeg slightly will reduce to 1.5MB for example). Some obscure setting has been accidentally changed - anyone know?

Thanks... N

The crop tool exposes 3 boxes on the tool bar, width, height and resolution. Is there anything in the resolution box?

It must be that - I'll take a look when I get home as it's my home computer rather than the one in the office.

Many thanks for the clue - I hadn't noticed new boxes on the crop tool but suspect you're right... N

In a similar vein, when I crop a picture and my cursor goes outside of the immediate frame of the picture being edited, the picture veers off in the opposite direction to my cursor. Is my desktop space too big, or is this just the way Photoshop works...?
