I don't know whether 308/328's are going to rise in value. But as someone whose just(Saturday!!) bought her first 328GTS I would say keep it!!I can't ever imagine selling mine. My face is aching from all the smiling I seem to be doing!!

If you think you can get that much for the car, sell it. There are a lot of (arguably more desirable) QVs sitting around unsold at that money, both trade and retail. I don't think that they are going to rise off the back of the silly money that 246 Dinos are selling for now though.

yes, think you are right.. dont realistically see the price rising much.. i feel the webber cars are better than the qv's anyway..(the noise!) congrats lottie, they are beautiful aren't they.. and amazing value for money.

Hi all,

I'm currently seriously looking at buying a 308 or 328GTS but cant quite make my mind up. I prefer the original lines and interior of the 308 but is the 328 a better car?

Also i've been reading up and have seen that the QV's came after the Webber models in the 308, but have seen carb 308's advertised as QV's? Are all the engines QV?

Finally, does anyone know of anywhere to service them in the Norwich area?

The 308 has the purer lines - and in fact the earlier the car the purer the lines (most QVs had deep front spoiler and rear spoiler above the rear window).

I bought a 308 because I loved the rocker switches. The 328 has a more FIAT corporate interior - the Testarossa shares some switches with the 328 as it happens. No doubt the 328 is a more "sorted" car though and later ones came with ABS.

All QVs were injected. But beware of the 308 GTB/GTS "i" - Ferrari unbolted the webers, stuck on some fuel injection and droped power to something like 220 bhp at best. These cars are slooooow and not at all desirable.... they were made for a couple of years - 1981 to 1982 IIRC.

I drove a number of cars before I bought mine - to be honest, the QVs were every bit as quick as the carbed cars, but I really wanted injection, owning a twin webbered Caterham at the time, and fed up with the characteristics of that setup.

I had mine serviced at THR in Maldon - after Terry Hoyle sold it, but they ceased to be. Terry set up again in the same area and is well thought of. Not sure of anyone in Norfolk though...

Thanks for the info.

I prefer the 308 as well for the styling, and the interior switches finish it off. I've wanted a 308 ever since the i saw one on the first episode of 'Magnum' way back when.

It's just a case of finding the right one and the 328 is the next obvious choice.

Hi Malcolm

There is a gagrage in Blakeney that used to specialise in older Porsches and Ferrari's. I think it was called, wait for it....'Blakeney Garage' but I may be wrong.

Cheers. I'm up that way later this week so will have to pop in for a look round.
