Intermittent setting for wipers - should it work ?

My wiper stalk has an intermittent setting that doesn't work.
Should it work ?
I don't want to rip the car to bits to find that it shouldn't work anyway.
Its a 1992 V8S.

If its a buggered relay where is it ?

Mine does so it should on yours as the V8S will be like the S3C in that respect I assume.

Yep, mine is one click down from off...

so my indicator stalk sequence is from the bottom:

Intermittent smear
Off
Slow wipe
slightly less slow wipe

Mine aren't that good !

Be careful - they dont all work. Mine has no wiring for the position at all, so has never worked.

There all a bit different depending on what day it was & whether it was a Friday !!
