Firstly; it was really good to actually see some Monaros at this show for once (usually, just me). I counted a good half-dozen - including 2 CV8s.

Nice to see BO55 doing his bit to sell the mods - I'm sold on the 'zaust and ripshift (wish I could get the headers too!) and he practically sold a supercharger setup on his 6000rpm note alone! Heh. Is this man on commission? biggrin
Actually - I'm also sold on the Corsa VXR...

Good to meet Pete (Astra coupe GTO setup)- just a shame the car wasn't ready in time to get it out in the open. Maybe Billing...

I saw a couple of CV8s hammering up the strip (14.0 - 100mph and a 13.something) - but no VXRs (I couldn't be tempted this year).

It's a shame there is nothing dedicated for us to get all the 'ros in one place - but that may change in the future (if anyone is interested). I didn't personally get any pictures, but I've already seen one of my car in www.clubcalibra.net. Anyone else take any?

Had I known there would be the opportunity to drag the `ro` would have been there.
Spent the weekend at the NSRA meet at Billing and Gary`s Picnic in my 1948 Chrysler.

Had a great time but couldn`t help wonderin what the `ro` would have beaten.
Guess next time I should check out the webby before.

crisis - Were you in that hellish traffic with all the old metal? We went past some rods and an old Camaro/Mustang etc. Looked fantastic. My mate said "I wonder if there is another show on nearby".. well, duh. Lol

PVS, on the Saturday, was £20 for unlimited runs until 9pm. Sunday was £15 for 3.. so it was well worth coming along. I didn't do it myself as I'm pretty sure the car would have broken on me (yeah, that's my luck). Heh.

I was gutted on Thursday evening/Friday morning when California confirmed I was having to fly to Germany, meaning I'd miss PV for the first time in aaaaages.

Missing my 'ro too, using the public transport out here in Aachen just isn't the same laugh

Mine was the silver one going down the strip...
Wasn't too bothered about something breaking cos It was booked into Monkfish the following day for a HUGE amount of work.
Massive thanks again to those guys for working their nuts off for me all day Monday. I'm loving my car even more now... if that's possible!
I believe Chris (BO55) took a lot of pics on the day, he certainly took some of me going down the strip.

Ah that was you, Gas? I was there chatting to Chris when you disappeared off. I saw you run as well - not a bad time for a stock car (from what I could tell). What's been done?

Chris, still getting used to this, bit new... how do I PM you?
The car was mostly standard. There was an aftermarket catback exhaust on it and a partial remap, not running particularly well. The exhaust was a chopped and modified version of the SP1 Loudmouth system, only found out at Monkfish the day after. Estimate about 360bhp at the fly with the setup I had...
NOW I got the focus pac (430) and ripshifter, and road response pac, and AP's on the car (expensive day Monday!) and a massive thanks to the guys at Monkfish, Roger pulled out all the stops for me.
It's a whole other car now

OK, I'm booked in to Fast Fest at Santa pod, weekend of 1st July so I'll be runing the new improved CV8 down the strip again, probably on the Saturday. Hoping for sub 14s and about 110mph. Anyone else likely to be there?
