photo embed codes playing up

I don't know if you're already aware of it, but I've noticed a few issues with the photo embedding codes in assorted threads the last few days:

the [pic] ones still seem to work, you can see the resized picture and click it to open the picture separately, this is good

the [img] ones sometimes disappear (and disappear the url of the picture too) and don't show any picture, or show the picture but you can't click it to see the full-size or open it as a link in another window/tab. Right-click>view image lets you see it full size but in the same window, I find it easier to open the picture in another one and keep viewing the thread.

Using Firefox 2.0.0.4 btw, I haven't checked IE yet to see if its the same there.

Actually I've just checked some other posts and sometimes when [pic] has been used you can't click it either not just [img]. When you quote the post you can see the codes and link there same as normal, but it doesn't always show up the same.
