Calling all Porsche owners!

Would any of you be able to help Emap Automotive (publishers of Car, Classic Car, Practical Classics, Max Power and Parkers) with a feature about Le Mans?

We are chauffeuring Maxi Jazz – lead singer of Faithless – from his headlining gig at the Wireless festival in Hyde Park (Friday 15th June) to Le Mans. Maxi is a huge Porsche fan and competes in the Carrera cup. As such, the plan is to collect him in a suitable Porsche (with film and camera crew following in a chase vehicle).

Our problem at the moment is that the Porsche press office is struggling to find a car at such short notice and so we are looking to borrow a car for the trip.

Yes, we realise this is a long shot, but hope some kind soul would appreciate their car being used as a celebrity taxi for the weekend, and star in the feature. Your car would appear in our beautiful pictures (and be centric to the travel story) and we would obviously be more than happy to supply the photo shoot to the owner, either on disc or prints.

As Emap now work in a hub-structure, all our content is available across the portfolio of titles, so when there is no cross-over of audience, we can run certain stories in multiple titles. The story could appear in any of the car titles mentioned above.

If anyone can help, please drop a line, with contact details, to rich.beach@emap.com

Many thanks.

If you are serious about getting a car, you may like to confirm how many thousands of pounds you are willing to pay to hire the vehicle? expected mileage etc.

Ask Park Lane the dealer, I'm sure they'll assist

Tell them Bobby sent you.

No wonder Porsche UK "could not find a suitable car"

Pathetic request - you have to try harder next time....

there are companies that rent them.

Personally i never ever give my car to any mag or celeb. As there are just intrested in 'putting on a show' vs respecting some one elses property.

Is he competitive in the cup? Frankly if he races cup cars I don't see much impressing him unless its a 993 gt2 or something.

I will pitch up in my GT3 and I will (as in me driving) happily drive Maxi to Le Mans while we listen to Faithless on the CD player, its already in the CD actually. All I would want is that I am the driver........... and a fully paid season and car in next years Porsche Supercup.

Take it or leave it! biggrin

I think your Max Power brand will put most off wanting to be involved I'm afraid. I think the idea of any of our cars in there is very cringe worthy.
