Enquired about a bike on Fleabay, got this email
"MOT and TAX until DEC 2007... The bike is in perfect working condition! It has no problems... I'm selling the bike because I need some cash asap! You can buy the bike for the price of 900 pounds. For this price I will also include free delivery of the bike anywhere in the UK. You will also have access to a refund policy on this transaction. However, before any delivery can be done we have to start the transaction on ebay so we can be both protected. In order to start the transaction on the eBay system I need to receive some details from you:
- your full name and address (for your invoice + delivery purposes)...
As soon as the above details will be provided I'll start the official transaction on eBay and they will notify you about this. You'll also receive important guidelines + instructions from them ( please go through them exactly ).
Will wait to hear from you. Thank you for your interest"
Now as far as replies go to bike enquiries it seems to highlight a lot of details about payment?Incidentally i think this may fall into the category,if it's too good to be true it probably is!I would say he could at least get twice the price he wants for it!Have i answered my own question here?:-)

Very very dodgy ....

If he's willing for you to come and view the bike ... HPI it .. pay cash and ride away then go for it. Anything else then forget it!!

So you want it too?I'm not telling you his name!tongue out .He's got 0 feedback, which doesn't really mean that much, but some people put a lot of precidence on that but everyone's got to have their first time on Ebay. His Ebay name probably won't mean anything to you as he may have ,or will have changed it since he last tried to scam someone. His name on Ebay is swri2940.He's only about 30 miles away from me.

The bike does look very nice. Ask him if you can go and view the bike and if you can have it HPI checked. If he says no then it doesn't exist.

No 'i'm' not sure,he's sure! Its had a little tweaking mind you.I can remember what my old RM465 used to be like on tarmac, undriveable, just lifted the front all the time during 'normal' road acceleration,so i don't think the back wheel spinning if really pushing a cr500 would be impossible.

I'm not sure either but sounds a little implausible for some to be spinning the rear wheel whilst doing a wheelie in 5th gear!

After you've sent him your name and address, you might also like to send some cash to that Nigerian bloke who has the diamond business, but has trouble getting his money out of the country . . .

laugh

wink

As for spinning the rear while wheelying in 5th . . . spin

Scammer. No feedback score to risk and can find another gullible person to scam with a new 0 feedback account when this one gets closed down.
