I've just found out that I'm lucky enough to be co-driving an original Ford France GT40 (pic below)down to Le Mans, and then round the circuit as part of the Le Mans Cavalcade. We're leaving on Wednesday, and I'll be taking plenty of shots for various publications, so if you see us give a wave or say hello.

Other than doin it in a Gulf liveried Porsche 917 I cant think of anything better.

Thats the least of it - we're going to have a major luggage issue !

Just get it freighted to the airport and pick it up from there. I'm sure someone with a bit of boot space could be persuaded to ferry it to your residence/campsite for a ride in the GT40.

Shame you won't need the cryogenic cooling system by the looks of the weather frown. Still GT's seem to splash along in the wet better than most super-cars...
