Click Here and vote for your favorite photo from the Monthly comp thread above.

The winner will be the one with the highest number of votes at 8pm on Wednesday night this week. They will then start the new thread as per the normal rules.

This voting method will be used during any month where the previous winner has not come forward before the end of the 1st day of the next month.

If the winner has not come forward by 36 or 48 hours of winning, then the 2nd placer shall be judge.

All agree?

ps.

It'd be gentlemanly not to vote for yourself and to only vote once. (I think the website only allowes 1 vote per person)

Is it obvious who I just voted for? hehe

Nice shot Mrs Fishy-wishy smile

Have we canned the idea of the previous months winner deciding who the following months winner is?

OK, I have made a sticky as per the request of CY88, if anyone wishes to amend it or add anything, post it here and I will update it smile

Its a pity that some of the best photos imo have not been added to the official thread, so I have voted purely amongst those added in the offical thread, although my decision would have been different if some of those aforementioned pics had been added to the official thread smile IYKWIM

I can only assume that the recent tie up with Haymarket/autocar mag has brought in lots of new people who drift in from time to time, unlike us saddo regulars who have no lives off PH hehe

Something must be wrond with the voting system as mine hasn't got a single vote!!

Still at least that proves that I haven't voted for myself! (yet) wink

I guess this method does not stop some people voting for themselves or e-mailing all their mates and getting them to vote! rolleyes

2 hours to go guys!

Funny how the winner keeps suddenly jumping from one to another very fast!! rolleyes

I'm not too convinced this is the "fairest" method to adopt!

Certainly has been a huge surge of recent votes.

Probably this isn't the fairest way to do it, but the competition isn't that serious and it does encourage us to get out there with our cameras.

Maybe we should add to the guidelines that in the case of the winner going missing, then the 2nd placed entrant will set the topic and judge the winners. That way we shouldn't have to use the voting system again.

there has been one clear winner right from the start, all of a sudden they have had no votes in 24 hours. Likeyou say, its just a bit of fun.

who has been the "clear winner"? Not checked since I put it up really.

I would say that technically, Martin, Mrs Fish and Poah's shots are the best. Weather they fit the title, or tickle the voters senses is a totally subjective thing.

Rusty Bin Jnr was winning right up til last night, technically you are right...

Just as a suggestion and I am not sure how this has been done before, but how
about only those that enter a photo can vote by posting who they vote for once
all the entries are in?

It might also encourage more people to enter?

It may only be bit of fun, but it's a very enjoyable and educational forum and
the 'Photo of the Month' is a great idea. yes

Not a bad idea at all.

It could be pretty simple for everyone to just add their name to the list with their favorite photo shooter attached, then we add up the scores.

Shall we stick to the current format for now and just hope that no-one else dies halfway through the month. wink

I'm with Mr Noble on sticking to the current format, but do like Cuban's suggestion for if the winner goes AWOL again.

The 8pm deadline has passed, so that's it done for May's competition - over to Dogsey then for this month's topic (and well done).
