I don't think they have heated seats. Are you sure these aren't seat position control cables

I think the Icelandic TVR imports do have heated seats.
Or it's the Scandinavian TVR import with the genital massager: oooooOOOHHHHH!

Something to do with pressing/squeezing the front edge of the seat I think?

Let us know what import you got!

Don't you pull the heater knob?

You could be right, squeezing the seat is something to do with pumping up the lumbar support, come to think of it.

Am I missing an obvious joke here or do you guys out there seriously not have heated seats? My 96 Chim 500 has them. If you press the button on the right hand side of the steering column and wait for about 5 mins, your backside and back should start to feel warm (assuming there is no other brown influence involved!!)

You will also find you have heated mirrors as well. Same switch turns them both on

Sorry Guy's GK & PC you both lost me!

No! I ain't got heated seats not that I’m aware of anyway! the only knob on the right hand side of the steering column opens the boot. The only time my ar$e gets warm is when I lose the back end in the wet

In addition my leccy mirror button is on located in the door by the handle!

i've got heated seats & as far as i know that is what the wires coming out of the seats are for. mine are controlled by a button that looks like a mint next to the ignition keyhole.

Yes, found the button for the heated seats to the left hand side of the steering column, similar button to the boot release. although i cant feel any difference in seat temp when the button is pressed. Are these not working or just very subtle, may notice more on a cold day?

Cheers

I think the button on the left side is to kill the dash lights.

I've read threads on this before chaps and like most things that are TVR, you'll find that it's different from car to car, regardless of age/model etc. Probably down to the chap who was fitting the electrics that day!!

The heated seats are an optional extra (which I don't have !!), I've read that on some models the heater fan knob turns them on, also that there's a button right at the back of the underside of the steering column, othewrs have buttons on the dash!! In one I test drove she reckoned they just came on when it was cold enough!!

Just have to do a bit of digging around I guess!!

Do I get the inference that all Chimps have the wiring in the seat for the heating, but are not wired up if the option wasn't specified?

If this is the case, I can see a weekend of seats out and lots of wire to a switch!

I've had a look around mine and found 1 switch to the left that indeed turns the instrument lights off when the main lights are on (don't know why?) and two switches to the right, one is white and releases the boot and the other, low and behold, turns the engine fans on!! so I assume i've had the fan mod carried out!! It also explains why my boot switch seemed intermitten as I was hitting the wrong one (Sorry i'm a 4 day old novice)
